About us
When a family has suffered a bereavement, we feel they should know something of the family and people they have entrusted the care for their loved one to.
The Principals of H W Mason & Sons are Mr Roy Mason and his wife Ann, who reside in Newport Pagnell, as did Roy’s ancestors for six generations.
We started out with one location – the original yard in Bury Street. We then moved to 9 High Street, Newport Pagnell – where all our services are still co-ordinated. However with the rapid development of Milton Keynes, a more focused approach to funerals was needed and premises in Bletchley/Fenny Stratford and Stony Stratford and Olney were acquired to better serve the whole area.
Our Bletchley premises were constructed on an open site and have all the facilities of a modern funeral home with parking for 14 cars. We also have a beautifully landscaped and maintained garden, in which we take great pride, where families can sit peacefully and reflect. All of the flowers are bought as seedlings and are potted and grown on by Mr & Mrs Mason as a hobby. Our gardens are a passion and have won many awards.
Stony Stratford was a shop which was totally rebuilt, with a new shop front to match the original Georgian front of the Newport Pagnell premises. The remainder of the building was newly constructed with all the necessary facilities incorporated and adequate parking at the rear.
Our Olney premises comprise of a Chapel of Rest, which is often preferred by old Olney residents.
All our premises are owned outright by the company, and have interiors, colour schemes and fabrics designed by professional interior designers. The result is a serene and airy atmosphere of which we are extremely proud.
It is our policy that staff should live on the premises to give total security and confidence to bereaved families.
